chloe and caitie
(written by bill passalacqua)

chloe and caitie had a bucket full of chalk
they'd take it out to the old side walk
they could really make that concrete talk
it was a colorful scene

there was red for lips and there was white for teeth
and black to draw that dastard thief
who stole my hair and left me blue
with a hat for me and a song for you

there were yellow bananas and green ones too
turquoise waters and skies of blue
violets and oranges, side by side
it was really a rainbow ride

then one dark day, caitlin drew a door
below the ceiling and above the floor
she walked right through and she closed it tight
she left that concrete sidewalk white

so chloe was left by the side of the street
smart girl went and drew herself something to eat
then she drew a black cadillac
jumped in, drove off and never looked back
